Veterans Day: Social media paid its tribute to veterans on Facebook and Twitter on Friday. Users were thanking those who have served their country. Facebook urged people to post about it when they first log in. More than 100,000 people have tweeted with the #VeteransDay hashtag.
#TrumpRiot: Protesters against Donald Trump's victory have not settled down. Police in Portland, Oregon, declared the protests there a riot, as the outrage continued to escalate and turned violent on Thursday night. Twitter users were calling out the protesters for the violent demonstrations. The president-elect addressed the protests on Thursday night through Twitter, calling the unrest "incited by the media" and "very unfair." By Friday morning, Trump toned down his anti-protest message with another tweet.
#BoldPredictionsForTheWeekend: Who knows what the future holds. Twitter is having a fun time guessing what will happen in the next two days after a whirlwind week. Some are pretty unlikely.
